Wall and Ceiling Restoration

Wall and Ceiling Restoration:  Back room ceiling had drastic waves which we tore out and replaced.  Living room had warped and cracked walls, ceiling was uneven due to places where sheetrock was directly on lathe boards and where it was on lathe and plaster.  A call was made to just replace the central part of ceiling despite a warning that the edges may not plane out well.  Next time I would recommend taking the whole ceiling out and laying the entire surface flat on to the ceiling joist as there was no time savings in just doing a small area because of the massive amount of sanding and plaster work to try and plane the new area to the uneven old drywall.

As you can see living conditions are rather poor during this time.  I felt it beneficial to live in the house non-the-less for tool security and to know the flow and needs of the house.
